 Okay, by popular demand I will re-create a previous article that was inadvertently deleted.
The purpose of this site is to provide an online avenue to to share ideas about geocaching in Southern California, coordinate events and group caching, and generally get to know other geocachers.
Things haven't been running as smoothly as we would all like, but the site is getting back on track.
To help keep the site friendly and welcoming, please consider the following while posting:
Personal attacks are not nice.
Jokes or inuedos based on demographics are not nice.
Words and phrases that at not family-friendly are not nice.
Welcoming new geocachers, and geocachers new to Southern California or this site, is nice.
Providing a useful and friendly response to questions is nice.
Concentrating on the message and not the person is helpful. A good answer to a question is a good answer to a question, no matter who posts it!
Staying approximately on a topic somehow related to the original post is helpful. Please try to focus. (I know this is not my personal strong-suit, but I'll be trying too!)
Using an otherwise useful thread to grind old axes is not helpful.
Also, please remember that inside jokes and historical references can be confusing to someone new, since they won't be familiar with the back-story. They should be used sparingly, and in proper context.
In general, let's all play nice and remember this site is intended to help make geocaching in Southern California a fun way to spend time.
